Commissioned by the renowned production company Pandora Film, our [cameraman](https://basi.wamrhein.de/en/camera-crew/cameraman-camera-operator-berlin "Cameraman Berlin") accompanied director Andreas Dresen and his team at the world premiere of »Rabiye Kurnaz vs. George W. Bush« at the 72nd Berlinale. Our brief: to capture the unique energy of this historic day in a dynamic trailer.

### Up Close: From Team Lunch to the Red Carpet

A first-rate premiere trailer lives and dies by its authentic moments. Rather than rigid interviews, we opted for a vivid event documentary that shows the team in all its facets:

- **Behind the scenes:** We captured the relaxed atmosphere over a shared lunch and the focused energy of the press conference.
- **Pure emotion:** Lead actress Meltem Kaptan radiated infectious enthusiasm – her passion for the story of the Bremen mother who took her fight all the way to the Supreme Court in Washington became the thread running through our footage.
- **The flashbulb moment:** We accompanied the crew along the Red Carpet and captured the electric anticipation ahead of the world premiere.

### The Art of Condensing: Post-Production With a Delicate Touch

Bush. The result is a trailer that does not merely document an event, but celebrates the significance of the film itself. The project's success proved the approach right: the film went on to win two Silver Bears for Best Leading Performance and Best Screenplay.
